"John and Craig both worked on my deck repair and repaint project. I was impressed when John initially came out to bid on the project, that he jumped and bounced on the deck in places he had spotted as possibly needing dry-rot repair. This had not occurred to me, but he was right on with his good eye and judgement. His extensive carpentry experience made that repair a breeze - it looked so precise and fit the other wood beautifully. Craig power-washed the weathered, grey wood to within an inch of its life and it came out looking like fresh new blonde wood. I had hoped for a semi transparent stain, but once on, I found I didn't like it at all. So John suggested the solution lay in covering it with a solid color. Great choice - I love it. The changes I made cost a little more, and took a little longer, but the end result is so pleasing to me. Both John and Craig are delightful human beings - easy to have around, cheerful, attentive, careful, thorough and good cleaner-uppers at the end of the job. Important! We had a small confusion about timing which were as much because of my lack of clarity as anything. The financial part was a little bit of a compromise by both of us because I had asked for more painting, but it felt very ethical, fair and straight forward. Recommendation for these guys? You bet! Bigly!

"I have used MANY handymen over the last 25 years. I have had many miserable experiences. It was a relief to discover John and David. So far they have built a deck, a porch, a privacy fence, a picket fence, installed a new door, and have done some farm fencing for me.

First, you probably couldn't find two nicer guys. They are a pleasure to work with. Second, they do good work. They care about the quality of what they build. Third, they've been really flexible. When I had some urgent matters with a rental, they were great about leaping on those jobs for me. They often had to work around my schedule, which they were very respectful of. With jobs on my farm, when I asked for alterations to jobs they'd completed, they changed things for me without complaint and with creativity and care - even when it meant undoing what they'd just done.

The only reason I rated them a four on communication and timeliness is that I hired them at a time when they were swamped with work, so they were dividing their time between my jobs and many others.

I highly recommend David and John!"
